ÁFRICA GUZMÁN DANCE PROJECT
The Dance Company, Africa Guzman Dance Project, was created in October 2020 by its director África Guzmán. AGDP is made up of the advanced dancers who belong to our Professional Dance Programme serving as a bridge company for the professional integration of the dancers in their future career. With a versatile, fresh and exciting cast, AGDP offers professional quality performances, demonstrating the versatility that characterizes this company to perform a wide repertoire that encompasses neoclassical, classical ballet and contemporary dance. AGDP is an opportunity for young dancers to discover the reality of the profession, thus developing their artistic identity and performing skills.






Africa Guzman Dance Project (AGDP) is composed of young dancers belonging to the Professional Program who have the unique opportunity to train as versatile and multidisciplinary dancers focused on acquiring professional and stage experience.
AGDP acts as a bridge company for the professional integration of the dancers in their future career. With a versatile, fresh, and exciting cast, AGDP demonstrates the versatility that characterizes this company to perform a wide repertoire that encompasses neoclassical, classical ballet, and contemporary dance. AGDP is the opportunity for young dancers to discover the reality of the profession, thus developing their artistic identity and scenic facility.
The company works assiduously with choreographers and teachers of international stature of very diverse styles and origins, thus offering a current and avant-garde repertoire and enriching the artistic experience of our dancers.
AGDP counts as main repertoire with the choreographic works of África Guzmán in addition to collaborations with other renowned choreographers such as María Europa Guzmán, Francisco Lorenzo, Barbara Fritsche, Javier Monzón, Eduardo Vallejo, Carlos Valcarcel, Mariano Cardano and ballets from the classical repertoire.

The dance company Africa Guzmán Dance Project, has been invited to the festival Madrid en Danza 2021 at the Real Coliseo Carlos III del Escorial and has performed in several theaters in the city of Madrid and the Community of Madrid like Las Rozas, Getafe, Moralzarzal, Parla, Hoyo de Manzanares..
In February 2023, the company Africa Guzman Dance Project was invited to dance in Geneva, Switzerland at the Soiré Jeune Ballets show, along with other young European dance companies.
AFRICA GUZMAN, after a successful international career as Principal Dancer of the National Dance Company in Spain and the Netherland Dance Theater for more than 20 years and as International Choreographer, having premiered at the Joyce Theater in New York with Ballet West or at the National Choreographic Festival in Salt Lake City, USA, embarks on a new path creating and directing her dance company Africa Guzman Dance Project in 2020.
