Academic and professional training from three years old to professional. Preparation for RAD (Royal Academy of Dance) and ACADE (Association of Autonomous Private Teaching Centers) exams.
The ACADEMIC TRAINING of the students is divided into three stages, Children, Elementary and Advanced according to their ages and artistic knowledge.
The PROFESSIONAL TRAINING, within a rigorously professional environment and seeking artistic excellence that provides the dancer with a complete advanced level training through classes, workshops and performances.
Children Level
Academic training of students from 3 to 7 years old, developing psychomotor skills and musicality through cheerful and fun exercises adapted for their age.
Preparation for Royal Academy of Dance exams at Pre-Primary, Primary and Grade 1 levels.
The work is done in 1 or 2 classes per week in the afternoon.
All Ballet students participate in the Closing Festival Performance of the school year organized by Africa Guzman Ballet School annually, usually held in the month of June.
Elementary Level
Academic training that covers the elementary and middle level for students from 7 to 14 years old. In this stage, the student will learn the classical ballet technique, a correct posture and distribution of the body’s weight, its control and coordination, musicality, the use of space and dynamic values.
Preparation for Royal Academy of Dance exams in grades 2-7 and Intermediate Foundation.
Preparation for elementary level ACADE exams from 1st to 4th year.
The work is carried out from Monday to Friday in the afternoon.
All Ballet students participate in the Closing Festival Performance of the school year organized by Africa Guzman Ballet School annually, usually held in the month of June.
Intermediate and Advanced Level
Academic training for students from the age of 14. In this stage the learning of classical ballet technique is deepened and complemented with its practice through the performances that the school carries out during the school year.
Preparation for the Royal Academy of Dance exams at Intermediate, Advanced 1 and Advanced 2 levels.
Preparation for the ACADE exams from 5th to 8th grade.
The work is done from Monday to Friday in the afternoons.

Professional Dance Program
The intensive professional dance programme provides the dancer with the necessary bridge between academic training and the professional world. A complete advanced level training through classes, workshops and performances.
We produce versatile dancers with a great classical and contemporary technique with which they develop their artistic identity, working directly with internationally renowned choreographers and teachers. Participants have the opportunity to do stage practice through the company Africa Guzman Dance Project.
Master classes, choreographic workshops and performance opportunities through the Africa Guzman Dance Project are the backbone of this project.
AGDP is the opportunity for students to discover the reality of the profession, working directly with choreographers, performing on stage and covering a wide repertoire of different styles and thus developing their artistic identity and stage facility.
Adult Ballet
LIVE AND ENJOY DANCE WITH AN UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE.
ADULT INITIATION: Classes aimed to all those people who have always wanted to dance and have not had the opportunity to try it. Without any condition of age. To tone the body with movement and music, and learn about the exciting world of dance.
ADULT ADVANCED: Classes aimed at improving and maintaining the technique of classical ballet for intermediate and advanced levels.
Classes will be held in the afternoon.
Royal Academy of Dance
The Royal Academy of Dance was founded in 1920 in the United Kingdom for the teaching of dance. Today it has a presence in 83 countries with over 14,000 members worldwide and is the recognized body that examines the most students around the world and is accepted worldwide as one of the highest standards in the teaching of dance technique. The Royal Academy’s priorities are not only to maintain the high standards of teaching but also to improve and update them. Over a quarter of a million students are examined using these syllabuses.
Africa Guzman is the introducer in Spain of this system of teaching and the Africa Guzman Ballet School has been presenting generations of students to the examinations for over 45 years. Many generations have graduated from our school with the satisfaction of having students who have gone on to become professional dancers in companies all over the world.
We are one of the few schools that offer the complete career training from the beginner levels of Pre-Primary to the professional levels of Advanced 1 and 2.
Young students, who represent the future of Dance, must be taught correctly and in accordance with their ages. Children’s unformed bodies must be protected from the damage that could be caused by poor teaching.
ACADE
ACADE is the Spanish Association of Autonomous Centers of Private Education that, for 38 years, represents more than 3800 private educational centers.
In 1990 the LOGSE approved the Specific Study Programs for passing the Private Dance Examinations in different specialties.
An external tribunal of teaching experts assess the examinees on the basis of fair evaluation criteria with objectives adapted to private education and its levels, since the very value of the ACADE Dance Diplomas lies in the quality of the curricular content and the degree of demand required in the exams.
ACADE’s examination system is compatible with other public and private examinations.
With these exams we offer our students a goal to strive for, encouraging their discipline, learning and involvement in the world of dance.
The ACADE exams offer a private diploma of the highest prestige to the students with a great added value to their training.
The Africa Guzman Ballet School is the founder of the dance sector and currently Maria Europa Guzman is the President of the Dance Sector and a member of the board of directors.
