Since arriving in Madrid, Barbara Fritsche combines roles as a choreographer, dancer, and teacher. She has taught in Spain and conducted workshops in Germany, France, Switzerland, and Ukraine. Barbara served as a guest teacher in renowned studios like Studio Harmonic Paris, Marameo Berlin, and Base Studios London. Beginning her pedagogical and artistic journey at the Karen Taft Dance Center in 2003, she remained on staff for thirteen years. Barbara has collaborated as a dancer and choreographer in various events and video productions. Her ongoing training spans prestigious dance centers in Madrid, Barcelona, New York, Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, and Tel Aviv.
As the founder and choreographer of Barbara Fritsche Dance Project, she fosters artistic collaboration across various dance and performing arts disciplines. Her recent piece, “Candy Crush,” featured in the creation “Cut Piece,” a collaboration with the junior company ‘Elephant in the Black Box,’ directed by Jean Philippe Dury. This production was presented in 2023 at the Cultural Center Paco Rabal and the French Institute Madrid.
